“I am ?? years old- age really doesn’t matter, does it?! I am married to Rick and we have four children: DeAnna- graduated, Ally- 2007 Graduate, Trevon- Junior next year, and last, but not least, the well known Reece- 6th grade next year. I will begin my tenth year teaching Algebra and English in the Special Services Department at Siloam Springs High School.

I began swimming at age 8 in Bloomington, California.  At age 10, I competed and earned the Bronze medal in the Junior Swimming Olympics in Long Beach, California swimming Butterfly (This was and still is my favorite stroke).  My family moved from California to Arkansas when I was 11. Talk about traumatic, I did not even know Arkansas was a state. I swam one season with the Flyers, then started playing softball. Big mistake! I have always loved swimming and missed it. When Ally was old enough I got back into swimming through her.

I am beginning my ninth summer with the Flyers and my fourth year coaching the High School swim team. I enjoy coaching and am looking forward to a great season with some special swimmers.  Go FLYERS!!”

“I am a 2006 graduate from Northeastern State University in Oklahoma. I received my Bachelors of Science Degree in Elementary Education and now I teach in  the Siloam School district.

I swam with the Flyers swim team from 1997 through 1999. I started swimming on the Panther High School Swim Team from 1999 through 2002. I served as Team Captain my last two years. I’ve been a Swim lesson instructor since 1999.

Most of my jobs have been working with children from playing to teaching. I find great satisfaction when I am able to invest in the life of a child and create a positive environment in which they are able to learn and grow. This happens best when parents and instructors/coaches have constant and effective communication. If we invest in our youth we will help shape the future!

I’m looking forward to another great season! Go Flyers!”
